MICE Play Up in Port Stephens
New MICE E-Brochure Launched to Showcase Port Stephens for Work and Play
Port Stephens Tourism has launched a new MICE e-brochure to showcase the blue water region, just 2½ hours north of Sydney, as an adventure playground for MICE groups.
Released as part of the successful ‘P.S. I Love You’ marketing campaign, the new 12-page Port Stephens MICE e-brochure highlights major venues such as Shoal Bay Resort & Spa, Peppers Anchorage Port Stephens and Samurai Beach Resort which can cater for up to 300 delegates.
The brochure also promotes the huge range of soft adventure, team-building activities in Port Stephens such as quad biking on Australia’s biggest sand dunes, swimming or cruising with dolphins, surfing, kayaking, jetskiing, parasailing, jumping waves on a ‘thundaraft’, playing golf, spotting koalas or whales, riding camels or horses on the beach, fishing, bushwalking, tobogganing, ice skating, sailing a skippered yacht, sipping wine or boutique beer, feasting on succulent local seafood, feeding harmless sharks and of course relaxing on the area’s pristine bay and ocean beaches.
Also popular with MICE groups of up to 300 people are memorable cocktail parties and dinner cruises on the calm waters of Port Stephen with Moonshadow Cruises.
“As a region, we can now host larger events and groups of more than 500 people and there are more fun activities than ever to help delegates relax, play and bond after work sessions,” said Port Stephens Tourism Marketing Manager, Tars Bylhouwer.
“Events and meetings by the seaside are always more exciting and relaxing and we’re far enough from Sydney to provide a complete escape but close enough to be easily accessible. And delegates from around Australia can now also fly direct to Port Stephens from Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra and the Gold Coast with the major airlines that use Newcastle Airport, which is only a 25-minute drive from Nelson Bay in the heart of Port Stephens,” Mr Bylhouwer said.
“Whether the group is small or large, Port Stephens can offer a whiteboard full of activities, facilities and experiences guaranteed to yield a rewarding and successful event.”
