A record 131 delegates attended
our 20th Anniversary Conference
last week in Sydney, titled Our
People, Our Passion, Our Success.
The event brought together the
broad representation of members
to celebrate the collective efforts in
growing the industry in Australia.
The conference demonstrated the
dedication of the ACA membership
& the importance of the suppliers.
Edie Rodriguez, ceo Crystal Cruises
provided valuable insights into
luxury cruising ahead of other
fascinating presentations on future
environmental considerations for
ships and facility operators, the
cruise sector in Asia and Europe
and the possible global impacts
on our region, and the importance
of appropriate destination
development.
Robust discussion was held around
port infrastructure, capacity and
partnerships for the continued
growth of the industry which
according to our Economic Impact
Report, contributed $1.734b in
direct expenditure in the last year.
ACA has invested heavily over the
past twenty years in showcasing
our region to cruise line executives
and ensuring that they experience
first-hand the extraordinary tourism
opportunities that complete a
cruise itinerary ashore.
We look forward to representing
our diverse membership for another
20 years and beyond and remain
focused on two core objectives: to
attract more cruise lines and cruise
calls to our ports by marketing
Australia as an exciting, safe, and
profitable cruise destination: and to
provide a strong voice for the many
and varied businesses that provide
the vital services & experiences that
are the backbone of a successful
cruise industry.
