Asia Pacific Incentives and Meetings Event (AIME) to combine virtual and live components.
The organisers of next year’s AIME have just confirmed that the 2021 event will see exhibitors, hosted buyers and visitors attend either in-person in Melbourne, or virtually via a dedicated online event portal.
AIME 2021 will take place at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre from 15-17 March, with organisers Talk2 Media & Events citing uncertainty around international travel as a result of COVID-19 for the move.
“We understand that we all have a role to play in driving business events to help rebuild global economies and the new hybrid AIME is being designed to quickly help kickstart our industry in 2021,” said Talk2 CEO Matt Pearce.
All exhibitors will form part of the virtual exhibition, with those able to travel “still taking part in the vibrant live show floor in Melbourne,” he added. They will also benefit from an increased number of buyers, particularly those who have been previously unable to attend and can now do so remotely.
Other features will include an updated meeting matching process to deliver better outcomes, virtual networking opportunities and new activations on the show floor, Pearce promised.
