Owners’ concern over buyers’ apprehensiveness behind show’s delay.
Outbound Australian MICE show Get Global has been postponed for 2020 amid the COVID-19 outbreak.
Despite selling out over half the show floor five months out from the event, co-owners Gary Bender and Donna Kesler have postponed Get Global until 2021.
Originally scheduled to be held at the International Convention Centre Sydney on 10 July, the owners admit the postponement relates to concerns around buyers’ capacity to book and spend in the year ahead.
The show will take place on 30 July 2021, with exhibitors to be offered full refunds, or a secured place for 2021.
