Stage two expected to cost $190 to $210m.
The Victorian government has confirmed the expansion of the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC).
The 2015-16 state budget, handed down today, contained provision for stage two of the MCEC, expected to cost between $190m and $210m, Minister for Tourism and Major Events John Eren said.
The expansion would add thousands of square meters of new exhibition and multi-purpose space, he said.
This was expected to see an extra 74,000 international visitors every year.
