Five Brisbane departures in February and March 2017 cancelled.
Royal Caribbean has just confirmed an agreement to sell its Legend of the Seas to UK-based Thomson Cruises in March next year.
The deal will result in the cancellation of five previously scheduled voyages roundtrip out of Brisbane early in 2017, while a sixth cruise on 09 April will also be rescheduled, bringing forward her repositioning from Brisbane to Asia to 20 February 2017 which will mark the vessel’s final Australian sailing.
All onward itineraries on Legend of the Seas in Asia and Europe will also be impacted.
“We are truly sorry to disrupt our guests’ holidays and sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused,” the cruise line said in a statement, with all affected passengers to be contacted either directly or via their travel agent to assist them in securing an alternative Royal Caribbean cruise, as well as discussing hotel and flight arrangements.
Full refunds will also be provided for any passengers who choose not to cruise, the company said.
