MANTA Port Authority and
Manta Port Terminal have
approved plans for a new
US$15m cruise terminal in the
Ecuadoran city.
Plans were given the green light
after a series of feasibility studies
were undertaken by authorities.
Pier two will be extended by
100m to accommodate larger
ships and lure more capacity to
the city as demand increased.
More than 20,000 pax are
expected to travel to Manta this
year, compared to 18,000 in 2016.
Construction will begin in Aug,
with completion by Aug 2018.
