RESPONDING to what he
discovered are widespread
perceptions in the New Zealand
tourism industry that it is
fragmented, parochial and overly
demanding of government
support, Martin Sneddon, the
new Tourism Industry Association
New Zealand (TIA) chief executive,
said at Local Government New
Zealand’s annual conference in
Queenstown this week, that it is
time for New Zealand’s multibillion
dollar visitor industry to
“get its house in order” to
achieve its potential.
